Family transitions & first baseball game

This was a big week for the family! Mama went back to work full time, and now Daddy's home full time with baby Miles.

The week started with Father's Day (Daddy's first!). We grilled up a whole salmon, and while waiting for the guys at the fish shop to fillet it, Auntie Deb explained that these are indeed the same thing we dug up on Waldron a couple weeks ago:

Miles had strawberries for dessert, facilitated by Uncle Kolya:

Mama's colleagues from Haiti were in town for the week,
and it was great to introduce them to Miles! Here's Miles with Mona:

While Mama was at work, Miles had a great time hangin out with Daddy. They went to the park and the beach a lot. Here Miles tests the water in Lake Washington.

Bottle break!

But the real highlight of the week was Miles' first Mariners game! Shout out to Vic B. for the tickets - we had great seats on the third deck behind home plate. Accompanying Miles were Daddy, Grandpop Dean, Uncle Kolya, and Aunt Anna. Here's the little guy at the stadium all decked out in his Mariners gear, with Uncle Kolya and Grandpop Dean.

Miles may be just what the M's need to make the playoffs this year - his good luck saw the Mariners to an 8-3 victory, with Ichiro going 4-5 with a home run (Miles sported an Ichiro t-shirt, also courtesy of Vic B.). At the end of the game Vic presented Miles with a certificate to commemorate his first game, something which may be worth a considerable amount once he's in the Hall of Fame.
