Mile High baby

We returned to the birth site this week, GroupHealth hospital, for Miles’ two-week check up. The Doctor assuaged any fears that Miles’ parents may have harbored by pronouncing him the most perfect baby in the world—so that’s a relief. Turns out Mama’s hour long nursing sessions are paying off: Miles grew an astonishing inch and a half in two weeks, topping out now at 22.5 inches, and is over his birth weight at 9 pounds 15.5 ounces. Miles is now in the 96th percentile in height for his age! He will have to hit the B-ball court soon with his uncle David, whose name appears in the basketball hall of fame for his marksmanship at the free throw line when he won the national competition.

And just think: you’ll be able to say you knew him when he was just in diapers—that’s probably worth a free autograph at least.

Other highlights of the week

Jesse neglected to mention that the doctor checking up on Miles has been the family's Group Health doctor for more than 15 years. So he has lots of experience with taking care of cute kids. Just saying. G'ma Amy
