We figured what could be more “family values
” of us than taking Miles to a movie about his favorite thing in the world: Milk! So off we went—Deb, Martha, Sarah, David, Jesse & Miles—to the Egyptian theater on Pine St. Dave made sure we had enough candy, Nana got the popcorn, and Miles eased on into car seat to enjoy one the best movies any of us had seen in a long time. Admittedly, Miles did sleep through the whole film (although I think I saw him raise a fist when demonstrators in the film were chanting “civil rights or civil war, gay rights now!”). But what better tribute can a 6-day-old baby pay to work of art than attesting to its soothing qualities?

Did people give you the hairy eyeball when you walked in or did the little guy win them over with his cuteness?
Naw,
we got a great seat right by the exit and no one was really trippin...But we didn't even have to make a break for the exit because he just slept right through it...

I've been telling folks the story about how he went to see "Milk" and raised his little fist in protest... Love it.
